Sports Orthopedist in Ra'anana – Dr. Ohad Segal
עודכן: לפני 7 ימים
In short: Dr. Ohad Segal is a specialist in orthopedic surgery and sports injuries, based in Ra'anana. At his clinic, the orthopedic consultation, real-time ultrasound, treatment and rehabilitation all happen in one place, with one shared goal: getting you back to training, sport and an active life.
A sports orthopedist who also trains
Dr. Segal is not only a sports physician. He is a competitive CrossFit athlete who has competed in the Israeli championships. He knows what it means to have an injury stop your training, and his approach reflects it: wherever it is safe, the plan is to keep you moving rather than to tell you to rest completely.
Training and experience
Residency in orthopedic surgery at Assuta Ashdod Hospital, where he was part of the team that founded the department and performed thousands of operations, many as lead surgeon, with an emphasis on trauma surgery.
Fellowship at a center for the treatment of Olympic athletes in Switzerland, focused on treating athletes at the highest level.
Specialist in orthopedic surgery and sports injuries.

What makes the clinic different
Diagnosis in a single visit: a full clinical examination plus real-time ultrasound in the clinic, so in many cases you leave with an answer and a plan on the same day.
Everything under one roof: orthopedics, physiotherapy and sports therapy, clinical sports nutrition, occupational therapy, medical massage and dry needling, a pain specialist and a hand surgeon.
Rehab that feels like training: a medical-athletic open space inspired by a CrossFit box, with free weights, functional training equipment and a performance measurement system.
One team, one language: the doctor, the therapist and the coach work together on the same plan.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a referral to see Dr. Segal privately?
No. You can book a private consultation directly, without a referral from your family doctor.
Should I bring my MRI or X-rays?
Yes, if you have them, bring both the images and the reports. If you don't have any imaging, that's fine: in many cases the clinical exam and in-clinic ultrasound are enough to decide whether further imaging is needed.
Can I get treatment on the first visit?
Sometimes. When the diagnosis is clear and the treatment is appropriate, an ultrasound-guided injection can be done on the same day. The decision is always made after a full assessment.
Do you treat non-athletes?
Absolutely. Anyone who wants to move, work and live without pain is welcome, from weekend runners to people recovering after surgery.
